Hello dear diary, you are welcome to this unique Thanks giving sunday. Well, it welcomes us to Redeemed Christian Church of God new year Calendar.

Sunday School:
The 2019/2020 edition  was launched this morning. With the first lecture Hallowed Be Thy Name.
Memory verse: After this manner therefore pray ye: our father which art in Heaven Hallowed be thy name Mattew 6:9.
Introduction: what does it mean to hallow God’s name? The word hallow in Greek is ‘Hagios’, which means holy. Hallow therefore means to set apart as holy, to sanctify or to treat as holy. The best modern word is ‘reverence’.  When we pray hallowed be your name we are saying, Let God’s name be holy and reverenced on earth as it is in Heaven (psalm 9:1).
Outlines:
 1. Why and how to hallow God’s Name.
It is a prompt response to one’s encounter with God’s splendor. Reverencing God’s name makes the presence of God real in our hearts.
2. Benefits of Reverencing God’s Name.
It keeps us in close fellowship with God and rescues us from distress, troubles, sorrow and pain.
Conclusion: we hallow the name of God when we trust , reverence, obey and glorify Him.

Ministering: Pst. E.A Adeboye
Topic: Our Shield and Defender.
Text: Psalm 28: 7
Preamble: Can  you imagine a Nation without Armed forces, and Para military. No matter how small the Nation may be, they are needed for Safety and Security.
They have their limitations because they are humans , Even Abner showed the attribute of been human 1Sam:26 vs 1-24
Without Divine Intervention they can be ambushed ( II Kings 6: 1-10)
There is need to understand that they are humans and that there are unseen forces
Psalm 91:5-6 – talks about unseen enemies . (II kings 5:1)
The Almighty God is  the only shield  that never sleeps  PS 121:1-5, Isaiah 40:28.
Those who rely on bodyguard, have been disappointed. Let your bodyguard be God.
God can deal with visible and invisible forces (Isaiah 54:17)
God has the ability to blindfold your enemies (II kings 6:8-20, Isaiah 31:1-3, Jeremiah 17:5-6).
God is the one person that can reverse, the irreversible. Prov.21:31
when you abide with Jesus, His light will cover you constantly with His blood.
Prayer point: Father! lord of host, I commit myself, family unto you, defend and uphold us……. Amen
Testimony Time:
The lord has been good to us especially from the testimonies.
Bro. Joshua Sunday, testified to the glory of God. He thanked God for adding another year to his life.
Sis. Becky thanked God for the  divine healing of her sister.

And many other awesome testimonies

of God’s Goodness.

Ministering: Pst. Gabriel Wayas, PICP

Topic: Meal for Excellence
Text: 1 kings 19:5.

Excellence is to go beyond the mark,
To Demonstrate superior quality.

A season of Excellence, looks at 3 stages

Past, present and future.

It was true Elijah, had attained popularity but the Lord is saying…you have not seen anything, you will obtain a great level of Excellence.
Elijah, was unduly favoured.
Elijah enjoyed team work.
He had Divine provision.
He enjoyed societal envy….

Features of Excellence
Supernatural strength.
He enjoyed intimacy with God.
He enjoyed divine instructions.
Divine revelation 1kings 19: 11-12
Seeing the invisible, hearing the inaudible
Divine Enlargement vs 15,16
As a product of Excellence, Elijah had divine empowerment.
Guaranteed future….

Thinking outside of the box in news gathering. Relating issues without bias, fundamentally a voice to the voiceless.
