Following the close of camp for 1,433 Batch C stream I corps members on Monday. The Gombe state NYSC says it is ready to welcome another batch of 1,000 prospective corps members, for Batch C stream II at the temporary orientation camp ground, Amada, Gombe state.
According to the State head of Press and Public Relations Ms Margaret Dakama, (ANIPR) , in a press statement, signed on behalf of the state coordinator, which was made available to journalists in Gombe state, on tuesday, she noted that the 3 weeks camp exercise will host 1,000 prospective corps members and will commence from thursday 28th November to Wednesday 18th December, 2019.
“Registration will commence on thursday 28 of November to Friday 29th, November, 2019, for 1,000 prospective corps members. Prospective corps members are therefore expected to report to camp on time before the portal closes. Swearing in is scheduled for Monday 2nd December, 2019, while the closing ceremony is Wednesday 18th, December, 2019” .
The statement further pleads with the general public and stakeholders to extend maximum support to prospective corps members as they arrive the camp ground. It warned Prospective corps members of improper dressing and defacement of NYSC uniform.
The statement also notes that the Governor of Gombe state, Alh. Inuwa Yahaya, is expected as special guest of honour, to declare the orientation course open.
