The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe,Mr David Markson has called on the 2019 Batch C Stream II Corps members to leave lasting legacies in their host Communities through the Community Development Service.
He stated this on Wednesday at the temporary camp ground Amada, Gombe state when he delivered lecture on the third cardinal programme of the NYSC; Community Development Service.
According to a press statement made available to Justthinkingaloud90. blogspot.com by the head of press, Margaret Dakama, the state coordinator urged Corps members to mingle with members of their host Communities, initiate, mobilise resources and execute such projects thereby improving the living conditions of their host Communities.
He said “Community Development Service compliments the effort of Government at all levels, impact positively on the host Community, harness the ingenuity, talent and skills of Corps members and enables Corps members give selfless service to the host Communities”.
Markson took his time to enlighten corps members on the roles of the various Community Development Service Groups which includes Editorial and publicity, Culture and tourism, Service delivery, Freedom of Information Act Vanguard, Medical and Health, Legal aids, Drug free and quality Control ,Charity and Breast without spots among other groups.
