Mustapha Usman Hassan, has called on his constituents not to see Covid-19 as a hoax. Speaking recently at the Mu’azu Primary school pantami where some constituents received palliative of food items and money worth N650,000 . Hassan further urged his constituents on the need to practice physical distancing, regular hand washing and use of sanitizer. According to him, “Coronavirus is real. This gesture is in line with the current situation, based on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Inuwa Yahaya that people should stay at home, as a representative of the people i decided to come up with this idea for the people of my constituency, so that they can comply with the curfew especially in this period of fasting, it will go a long way. “There are 200 Cartons of Pasta, and 400 bags of 5KG rice, 200 pieces of Face masks. Five hundred Naira (500,000,00) to be shared across five wards and an additional One fifty thousand (150,000) for local government party executives and executives of the party from my ward making it a total of Six hundred and fifty thousand naira (650,000) was shared amongst various groups.” He added that the best way to mitigate the spread of coronavirus is for constituents to comply with various rules by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, saying that “prayer will bring our country back to
normal, Coronavirus is not a play.” On his Part the Welfare Director of All Progressives Congress in Gombe Hon. Sunusi Ataka, who witnessed the presentation of items commended the legislator for remembering his people at this material time.
