Bauchi State Head of Civil Service on Wednesday promised to collaborate with recently inaugurated leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in dissemination of government policies and programmes.
The Head of Civil Service Alhaji Ahmad Abubakar Maaji disclosed this at a reception organized in honour of the new NUJ Chairman Comrade Umar Saidu, he said journalists play vital role in projecting government’s policies and programmes in all nooks and crannies.
Abubakar restated his determination to give moral and financial support to the NUJ leadership to deliver her mandate.
In a remark, the Director Administration and Human Resources in the Office of Head of Civil Service Alhaji Yusuf Muhammad Karamba enjoined the new NUJ executives to justify the confidence reposed in them by moving the union to greater height.
In their separate remarks, the state chairman Sport Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Nasiru Abdullahi Kobi and Ahmad Kaigama of News Agency of Nigeria NAN pledged loyalty to the new executives in delivering their mandate.
Responding the new NUJ chairman Comrade Umar Saidu who expressed delight for the honour done him pledged readiness to justify the confidence reposed in him.
