Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abubakar, his deputy, Siddi Buba and 4 other lawmakers have tested negative to COVID-19.
The 6 Lawmakers had earlier tested positive for COVID-19, and had been in compulsory 14 days self isolation for treatment, but received clean bill of health on Friday.
The speaker disclosed this in Gombe, during a press briefing, he added that they had received certificates from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), declaring them negative of the virus.
While saying COVID-19 is real, Abubakar also cautioned against stigmatization.
He commended the doctors who worked round the clock, to ensure that they recovered from the virus.
The speaker equally lauded the state’s governor, Inuwa Yahaya for his efforts at ensuring the state is rid of the virus.
Abubakar also commended the state’s Taskforce on COVID-19, as he charged the people of the state to adhere strictly to all measures aimed at curtailing the spread of the virus.
