The Gombe State Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Jatau has tested negative to Coronavirus.
Sequel to a directive to public office holders in the state by the governor Inuwa Yahaya, to know their status due to the confirmation on the cause of death of a member of the state taskforce on covid-19, who was a director in the Government House Shuaibu Danlami.
According to a press statement which was made available to our correspondent Wilson Yakubu, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, he said Dr. Jatau’s result was Amongst the results announced by National Centre for Disease Control on Sunday, he added that it returned negative.
Jatau prayed God to grant quick recovery to those that have been tested positive, and to help rid the entire world of this pandemic.
He expressed appreciation to God Almighty for the negative covid-19 status adding that he appreciative of the prayers of concerned residents of the state for Gods protection and good health.
While commending the Governor for taking steps towards reducing the spread of the pandemic, the Deputy Governor called on general public to continue to obey the international protocol on Covid-19 towards limiting its spread.
