According to the commissioner for Education, Dr. Habu Dahiru the ten new cases are from Government Girls Secondary School Doma, and Government Girls Science Kumo.
He stated this on Thursday, at the resumed covid-19 briefing on activities of the task force in the state.
Dahiru added that the first index case involving the Government Science Secondary has tested negative to Coronavirus, saying that he no symptoms.
He said, “The first student was Asymptomatic and did not present any new complain while he was on isolation. I’m happy to tell you that his result turned out negative and he has been reunited with his peers in School and he will to take his exams henceforth in school.
“Nine (9) other girls were found to be positive from Government Girls Secondary School Doma, they were evacuated and taken to State Specialist Hospital.
“One (1) other from Government Girls Science Secondary School Kumo. So we have 1 from Kumo and 9 from Doma, they are all asymptomatic. Those admitted from GGSS Doma had no paper, so we didn’t go to the isolation centre to supervise their work. They have the opportunity to revise with their books, so that tomorrow they can write under strict supervision.”
