The Assistant Inspector-General of Police Force CID Annex Gombe AIG. Asuquo Amba, has called for collaboration between the civil populace and members of the Nigeria Police Force.
Amba who is in charge of North-East Geopolitical Zone comprising Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe, stated this on Thursday at the palace of the emir of Gombe.
The Assistant Inspector General of police, revealed that IGP. Abubakar Adamu had reiterated that one of his pivotal policy is to improve collaboration with members of the public as part of his Community Policing Strategy in tackling crimes.
“hence the establishment of the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Gombe State which will cover the six (6) Geopolitical Zone,” he added.
On his part, Emir of Gombe State HRH. Dr. ALH. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III appreciated the recognition given to Gombe State by the Inspector-General of Police.
The Emir of Gombe, who also doubles as Chairman Council of Chiefs Gombe State, promised to partner and synergize with the Police as well as ensure the successful establishment of the Force CID Annex office in Gombe.
