FG Doles N20,000 to 1,000 Rural Women in Gombe

The event was launched in the state, by Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, which was held at the International Hotel in Gombe metropolis, the minister charged beneficiaries to judiciously put into use, the grant.
She restated that President Buhari’s admission has commitment towards alleviating the suffering of vulnerable Nigerian Women.
“President Buhari has come up with different social intervention programmes to alleviate sufferings of various groups. This is something the National Assembly initiated through the committees of poverty alleviations both in the house of representatives as well as the senate, using the platform of National social investment programme,” she said.
The minister assured that the federal government will continue to do more for the citizenry.
Also speaking, the Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen said the the President is committed in making sure that poverty is reduced to the lowest minimum.
She added that the President is committed to making a difference in the life of rural women.
Tallen added that, “alleviating poverty in the lives of women, is alleviating poverty in the family.”
On his part, Governor Inuwa Yahaya who received the delegation at the Exco chamber Government House, Gombe, lauded the efforts of the President in steering the ship of the nation during the pandemic and the problems Nigeria, adding that it has been done successfully.
Yahaya added that the Ministries of Finance, Women Affairs, and Humanitarian Affairs, which is headed by women, have been instrumental to pushing Buhari’s administration forward.
He said, “these three ministries have been doing good, and have helped in restoring hope to the Nigerian people.”
