Gombe 2020 batch B stream IA commences skill acquisition programme

The 2020 Batch B Stream IA Corps members have been urged to gain the required Entrepreneurship, and hands-on skills to cope with the challenges of unemployment and global socio-economic down turn.

Declaring the programme open, the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Yaakugh Florence maintained that one of the mandates of of the NYSC Skill Acquisition training was to contribute meaningfully to the attainment of the Sustainable Developmebt Goals.
“by reducing extreme hunger and poverty, the Programme, nationwide is targeted at the Nigerian graduate Youth and is fully designed within the framework of the in camp and post camp for Corps members,” Yaakugh
While speaking on financing of Corps members’s business proposals, the state coordinator added that, “the SAED Department of the NYSC has created opportunities for financing such proposals through the Central Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with Commercial banks as well as the Bank of industry. Alot of Corps members have already benefitted from the Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund (GEF).”
Corps members within the space of 9 days and 30 minutes each day, will be exposed to the following set skills with sub-sets; Agro-allied, Food processing and presentation, culture and tourism, cosmetology, Information and Communication Technology, Construction, Environment, Beautification, power and energy, education , film and photography and automobile.
State coordinator, National Directorate of Employment, NDE Gombe Alhaji Hassan Mustapha delivered the keynote address on Introduction to Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
While Chief Executive Officer City Impressions, Mr Jide Aderinto and Mr Victor Akpan of Febstar driving school spiced the moment with motivational talks.
