Anonymous supports 45 Gombe widows with cash, other items

No fewer than 45 Gombe widows from Kalmai in Billiri LGA on Wednesday, benefited from the kindness of an indigene.
Periscope Nigeria, gathered that the sponsor who begged not to be mentioned, carefully selected beneficiaries to be part of the largesse, which is geared towards giving the downtrodden meaning of the season.
Supervising the distribution of items to beneficiaries, Rev. Fr. Hillary Long, of st. Theresa in Kalmai, called on wealthy individuals to support the needy with food items and other relief items in the spirit of Christmas and new year celebration.
Hilary said, “This gesture by a member of Kalmai is consistent with the lessons of Christmas which demonstrates God’s love and salvation for mankind as well as teaching of Jesus Christ on the need for us to exhibit love and care amongst ourselves.”
Also speaking, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Jalo, of St. Andrews Catholic church Kalmai urged Christians to pray for peaceful celebration of Christmas.
While lauding the anonymous facilitator of the relief materials, Jalo prayed God to bless and reward his labour of love.
On their part, the beneficiaries who were visibly elated at the support, thanked the donor while wishing they knew the individual who sponsored the gift items.
The women added that the gifts will go a long way to provide enough succor during the yuletide.
Amongst items distributed to the 45 women includes; meat, cash, and wrapper material
