BUA group donates 3 Ambulances, others to Gombe Govt.
BUA international group on Monday, stormed Gombe State with COVID-19 preventive items that included fully kitted three ambulances and 50,000 facemasks.
BUA’s team, led by the company’s director, governmental relations, Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong said the chairman, Abdulsamad Isiaka Rabiu earmarked about N8billion for the fight against the pandemic.
The former minister of health also explained that the group was to assist the state with 100,000 facemasks, “but for the contractor that failed to deliver on time, we have brought these 50,000” he said, adding that BUA will make up with the balance.
Speaking with newsmen after the presentation to Governor Inuwa Yahaya, Hong said the BUA foundation decided on the gesture on realising that, “BUA group deals in many economic facets and we realised that only the healthy would patronise us.”
Receiving the items at the government house, governor Yahaya observed that the state had noticed and appreciated BUA’s steady efforts in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that, “coming here now it is timely and appreciated because the world is experiencing resurgence of the pandemic.”
He however asked the group to come and invest in the state with industrial and agricultural potentials.
