Just In: Kano govt mandates closure of Schools
Following the increasing cases of insecurity in the North West region of Nigeria. The Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje, on Tuesday, directed abrupt closure of schools.
Recall that schools across the country, have experienced disruption in academic schedules due to the lockdown which was aftermath of covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement, which was signed by the state commissoner for education, Muhammad Kiru parents whose children are in boarding must make arrangement for the safe return of their wards from Wednesday.
“The Executive Governor of Kano State has approved the closure of all public and Private Schools in the State with immediate effect.
“Parents whose children are in boarding schools are to also arrange and convey their children/ wards back home from tomorrow, Wednesday, 16th December, 2020.
“All inconveniences are regretted,” the statement stated.
