Gombe: APC constitutes new EXCO, commences LG election campaign

All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday, reappointed Nitte Amangal ,as the party’s caretaker chairman for the period of six months.
Amangal has been the party chairman for two years.
He told newsmen that his mission was to unite the aggrieved members especially after the recent local government primaries.
Meanwhile, Barrister Sani Kabir administered oath of office on Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ado Gabani (retired) as the Deputy Chairman, Abubakar Adamu (secretary,) Umar Saifuddeen (assistant secretary) and Danjuma Babayo as the state organising secretary.
Others are; Ibrahim Mangadu (treasurer,) Saleem Isah (financial secretary,) Hajia Lumbi Abubakar (woman leader) and Muhammed Sangul as assistant treasurer.
However earlier, Governor Inuwa Yahaya presented flags to candidates of APC to contest the next Saturday local government election at the Pantami stadium.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, tasked voters to work for common good.
Yahaya urged the party supporters to troop out and vote for the party in the December 19th Local Government Elections “to guarantee an even sustainable growth and development.”
According to Yahaya, “since coming into office in 2019, our administration has made far reaching efforts towards timely procurement and distribution of fertiliser to farmers in the State which has invariably improved crop leading to bumper harvest across farmlands in the State.”
He said in keeping to his campaign promises, his administration has made remarkable progress in the provision of portable water to Gombe metropolis and environs, noting that the expansion of water supply will continue, “until a substantial part of the State is free from the scarcity of it,” he said among other sundry achievements.
Also speaking, the chairman campaign/planning committee for the elections, Abubakar Muazu said the party was well prepared for victory.
He called on political parties participating not to jeopardize the process.
He said, “play by the rules of the game which ultimately must produce a winner and a loser.”
He challenged the aspirants not to hide themselves from electorates should they eventually win the contest.
On his part, Gombe State Caretaker chairman of the APC Nitte Amangal assured the crowd that the party will emerge victorious in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in the State.
“Giving the performance of the people’s Governor, the preparations and the reception we received across Board so far, i have no doubt that we are going to win this election,” Amangal said.
