78 years old Obiozor emerges President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo
Prof.George Obiozor, has emerged new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo is considered the the most influential Igbo socio political organization.
He polled a total of 304 votes to defeat four other candidates and emerged victorious in the delegates election on Sunday.
Obiozor is a 78 years old reputable diplomat, and world class scholar. He studied at the Institute of African Studies, and Albert Schweitzer College.
He graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1969, and from Columbia University with a Ph.D. in International Affairs.
Periscope Nigeria, gathered that the scholar is expected to help galvanize the various interests and blocs of the Southeast region amongst other target towards a formidable 2023 Igbo presidency.
