Gombe Gov, Dankwambo mourns Mai Tangle

Gombe state governor, Inuwa Yahaya says he is saddened at the demise of the prominent traditional ruler, Mai Tangle, Abdu Buba Maisheru II, who died at 72 years.
According to the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s thought on Monday, the passage of the paramount ruler is a monumental loss.
Maisheru, until his death was the chairman of Northern Christian Traditional rulers, comprising the 19 northern states and the 15th Mai of Tangle, Gombe state.
“The Government of Gombe State describes the sudden death of the paramount ruler as a monumental loss not only to theTangale Chiefdom and the State but the nation as a whole.
“We pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased, the Gombe State Government wishes to condole with members of his immediate family, Tangale Chiefdom and the entire people of Gombe State.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” Gov Yahaya said.
Recall that in May 2019, chairman Gombe taskforce on covid-19 announced that it took 12 days for the reputable monarch to recover from the novel virus, which the monarch’s subjects debunked.
Also in November he lost his son, to an undisclosed ailment, this may have given the first class monarch a heavy blow, a source told our correspondent.
On his part, Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo, former governor of the state, through his verifiable twitter handle, called on the people to be comforted by the deceased virtues.
“My Family and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Gombe over the death of His Royal Highness, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll (Mai Tangale) the Emir of Billiri.
“His death came as a rude shock but I pray Almighty God, grant his soul, eternal repose,” Dankwambo said.
