[Video] Yahaya calls for encouragement of serving and retired officers

Gombe state governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has called for support for serving and retired war veterans in Nigeria.

 

Yahaya stated this on Friday, shortly after laying wreath in commemoration of 2020/2021 Armed Forces remembrance day, at Pantami township stadium Gombe.

While fielding questions on the mood of security operatives in the midst of security challenges.

Yahaya, “This people laid their lives and those in service are still fighting in order to provide safety, security and good standard of living for our people.

 

“So it is worth encouraging and I will like to urge all our people to give them the support and encouragement to withstand this trouble in order to continue to take us to safety and security in the country.”

 

Also speaking, the commissioner for Internal Security and Ethical Orientation Batari Dauda said “the Armed forces remembrance day presents a unique opportunity for war veterans to be celebrated.”
