Lux Terra, Onaiyekan foundation hosts workshop on the role of women in promoting integrity

Lux Terra Leadership Foundation in collaboration with Cardinal Onaiyekan’s foundation has commenced a National Workshop on Tuesday, at Ajuji Greenwich Hotel, Gudu, Abuja.
The workshop has the theme, Role of women and women organizations in promoting integrity and security in Nigeria.
Among those present at the opening ceremony of the workshop includes; Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Mrs Paulin Tallen, Minister of Women Affairs, Mary Beth Leonard, US Ambassador to Nigeria, Idayat Hassan of CDD, as well as Dayo Olaide, representative of the MacArthur Foundation, which is sponsoring the event.
Also present are representatives of the National Orientation Agency, Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Federation of Muslim Women in Nigeria, NASFAT, National Council of Women Religious, Women Interfaith Council and Catholic Women Organisation, among the participating organisations.
Facilitators at the Workshop are; Dr Maryam Lemu, Amb. Justina Ngwobia, Mrs Amaka Obi, Hajia Nike Abdulrahman and Dr Joseph Ochogwu.
Expected at the end of the three days workshop are concrete recommendations and workable strategies towards a more proactive engagement of women and women organisations in the task of building a more secure Nation with greater integrity.
