No fewer than 2,000 corps members serving across the 11 Local Government Areas in Gombe State have received Coronavirus vaccine at the State Secretariat, on Wednesday.
Speaking at the commencement of the exercise, NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Ada Imoni, revealed that the state had ensured provision of adequate logistics to facilitate massive mobilization of corps members for the exercise.
Imoni who was represented by Assistant Director Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mr Gabriel Watsu, noted that the state is impressed with the turnout.
Our correspondent observed that the corps members were in good spirit as they turned out early to receive the jab with some others awaiting the reactions before taking it.

“Proactive disposition by both management and corps members have contributed towards the successful conduct of the Covid-19 vaccination. This has made this exercise a huge success story in Gombe state.

“The exercise is in line with NYSC Management’s directive, where adequate arrangement was made with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency for the successful administration of COVID-19 vaccine on Corps Members,” Imoni said.
