Former transportation minister Umar, mourns emir of Funakaye

Former Minister of Transportation, Senator Idris A. Umar, has lamented over the death of Emir of Funakaye, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Kwairanga II, describing the demise as a great loss to the good people of Funakaye, Gombe and Nigeria at large.

The former lawmaker in a condolence visit on Friday, extolled the virtues of the deceased royal father, stressing that he was someone who during his life time, was known for his honesty, humility and commitment to the well being of his subjects, the progress of the entire state and Nation.
He said, “The monarch had a penchant for peace and unity and has lived to it’s ideals by ensuring peaceful co-existence in his Emirate and by extension in the whole state and entire humanity.”
Umar who is a chieftain of the governing, All Progressives Congress (APC), noted that Alhaji Kwairanga’s death has created a vacuum that can hardly be filled, considering his numerous contributions in the area of good counsel and constructive advices that had helped in proffering solutions to the daunting challenges militating against our collective goals.

Umar, however, condoled the family, government of Gombe state, Gombe state emirs and chiefs , Funakaye Emirates and the entire state over the colossal loss, praying Allah to grant Jannatul firdausi to the deceased.
