Ilechukwu, Heartland gaffer lauds win against Adamawa United

Gaffer of Heartland FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu, said has applauded the efforts of his boys at the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Ilechukwu revealed that his excitement was spurred by the three points garnered away from home, adding that the result meant a lot to the team.
The coach stated this in an interview with our correspondent, at the Pantami Township Stadium in Gombe State, where the team defeated Adamawa United 1-0.
“I didn’t know that our players will put up this kind of performance. So, we thank God for these three points because these three points in the bag area the most important thing from this game,’’ he said.
While underscoring the negative impact of Covid-19 to competition as it relates to fans participation, Ilechukwu further disclosed that he was miffed his team would be triumphant to a home team.
He added, “This score means alot to us looking at the challenges we have, I didn’t know our boys will put up such a good performance today. Heartland FC you will agree with me is a great team and they are alot better today than last time. The fans make football, football because it is all about business and entertainment. I wish the fans will come back soon. I think the officiating is fantastic, good job and it is 50-50.”
