Police nabs 40 year-old Gombe man over fabricated master key, ‘Achaba’ theft, others

Gombe State Police command on Monday, paraded a 40 year-old man for stealing motorcycle parked at a cinema with a fabricated key in Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe .
According to the Commissioner of Police, Ishola Babaita, he was arrested for being in possession of fabricated master key and stolen motorcycle, also known as ‘Achaba’.
He revealed that preliminary investigation points that the suspect has used the master key to steal bikes.

Babaita said, “Officer attached to Anti robbery section based on credible intel arrested one Usman Adamu. The suspect went to Bajoga town in Funakaye to steal a motorcycle at a cinema with the use of fabricated master key. Exhibit recovered includes, motorcycle and one fabricated key.”
Also paraded were group of teenagers who converted a secondary school to store their dangerous weapons which they used to cause harm to innocent citizens.
“Umar Abdullahi 15 years, Mohammed Bello 15 years, Umar Mohammed 20 years, Abdulaziz Abubakar 23 years, Idris Abubakar 17 years, Abubakar Umar 20 years, Yahaya Abdullahi 20years and five others were arrested by Gombe Police division in a case of criminal conspiracy and being in possession of dangerous weapons, inciting public disturbance, aiding and abetting escape.
“Where hoodlums numbering fifty (50) armed with dangerous fabricated weapons were sighted at Government Day Secondary School Kagarawal Gombe. The hoodlums were said to converge there with a view to cause mayhem,” the commissioner said.
However, Joseph Isah 18 years, Ahmed Adamu 18 years were also arrested for criminal conspiracy and bulgary.
Ishola added, “Joseph and Ahmed were arrested in a case of house breaking and theft. Items recovered includes; One Plasma TV, computer, two Handphones and a piece of curtain used in wrapping the stolen items.”
