Gombe deputy gov lauds Hajiya Asma’u’s conferment with Doctor of Science honoris causa in Child Development

Gombe state Deputy Governor, Manassah Daniel Jatau, has congratulated the wife of the Governor of Gombe State, Hajiya Asmau Inuwa Yahaya over her recent conferment with the Doctor of Science ( Honoris- causa) in Child Development by the Human Right Education Federation of the International Human Right Commission.
The wife of the Governor was conferred with the award during the Stella Obasanjo Memorial Lecture in Child Care and convocation ceremony.
The Deputy Governor said the recognition and the choice of the wife of the Governor does not come to the people of Gombe State as a surprise considering her immense contributions to women, children and entire humanity.
He explained that himself and indeed all the well meaning ‘Gombawas’ would continue to be proud of her achievements and to always identify with her and her husband as they bring honour to Gombe State.
Jatau stressed that the contributions of the first lady are indeed not without the support of her husband who himself has been receiving different awards and recognition to the pride of the people of the state.
He congratulated the first family for the numerous awards and attraction of attention of globe to Gombe state for greater developments.
