Gombe Deputy Gov receives ECWA President’s wife, others

Gombe State Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, has received the Wife of ECWA International President, Mrs Naomi Panya Baba and wives of other ECWA EXCO in his office.
The Wife of ECWA President led some ECWA Pastors’ wives from ECWA Headquarters, Jos to Gombe State for a three day Sensitization conference for ECWA Pastors’ wives in the North East Zone.
While receiving them in his office on Thursday, the Deputy Governor appreciated the prayers of the church, attributing it to the successes of the peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
Jatau stressed the need for unity in the church and indeed any organization for the achievement of collective goals, urging them to extend their meeting to include wives of pastors from other denominations so as to achieve the purpose of becoming united and progressing for the strength of the body of Christ.
The Deputy Governor urged the women to contribute towards repositioning the youth and bring them out of bad habits of drugs and other vices for a better and brighter future.
He said, “Assist, organise, and educate the youth towards reducing crime in the society to the barest and tolerable level.”
He added that there has never been a society where crime has been totally eradicated.

Speaking earlier, the Wife of ECWA President, Mrs Naomi Panya Baba, who is the International Leader of ECWA Pastors wives said, they were in Gombe for a three day sensitization conference for ECWA Pastors’ wives in the Northeast and having found themselves in the state they have, in line with Biblical injunction deemed it fit to pay honour to those whom honor is due.
She intimated the Deputy Governor that they admire and were inspired by the progress and the determination for development in the leadership of Gombe State.
Mrs Panya Baba said, the three day conference would also further intercessory prayers for the state that Almighty God may bless the people, and grant the leadership the ability to provide democratic dividends to the people.
The National Leaders were accompanied by the Northeast Leader, Mrs Christiana Gershom Laushige and the Chairman, Conference Organizing Committee Mr. Stephen Manager.
Special prayers were offered for the leadership and people of Gombe State.
