Sallah: Njodi tasks Muslim ummah on tolerance

The Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has enjoined the people of the state to imbibe the spirit of tolerance as panacea to peaceful co-existence.
Njodi made the call in a message to commemorate the celebration of Eid- El-Kabir Sallah also called for prayers to leaders at all levels, adding that for progress and development to take place in the state, people must remain prayerful and co-operative to government.
The SSG further prayed for peace in the State and country in general appreciating Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for investing much in security which he said has paved way for the execution of meaningful projects across the State.
He earlier joined muslim faithfuls to observe the two Rakaat Prayer at the Kaltungo Central Eid ground, saying it always gives pleasure to commune with the people at the grassroot in moment like this.
He noted that, from the faces of the People who gathered in their thousand at the Mai Kaltungo Palace for the celebration, it indicated that dispite economic challenges the people of Kaltungo are happy with the impact of Governor Yahaya’s administration especially in infrastructural development in the Chiefdom.
Addressing the gathering earlier, Mai Kaltungo Engr. Saleh Mohammed, who receive the State Deputy Governor Dr, Manasah Daniel Jatau and other traditional tittle holders called on Government to support Cultural activities in Communities as a way of promoting integration and Unity in society.
Engineer Saleh Mohammed also appealed to the State Government to engage the Federal Ministry of Water Resources through the Upper Benue River Development Authority to avail the People the benefits of Kaltungo Earth Dam build ten years ago.
The Occasion featured mini Durbar which was attended by the Deputy Governor, the SSG, Government officials, District Heads and we’ll wishers of Kaltungo Chiefdom.
