Congress: APC swears in 270 excos in Balanga

No fewer than 270 All Progressives Congress (APC), ward officials in Balanga were on Saturday, sworn in, with 27 persons per 10 wards, pledging their loyalty to the party, at both state and the national levels.
Administering the oath of allegiance on the newly elected officials in Talasse, Dr. Bello Mohammed, urged them on respect to party supremacy, adding that they should ensure the triumph of the party in their various wards during the general elections.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, noted that the affirmation is superlative, stressing that the party has provided the necessary window for appeal.
According to him, the officials are expected to galvanize appreciable support for the party both in the state and national levels.
He said, “You can see and bear witness that it was conducted peacefully, all the 10 wards of Balanga Local Government have been sworn in and they have taken the oath of office. They have been encouraged and motivated to work for the party.
“I have already advised them to respect the chairmen of their respective wards and the chairmen are expected to be fair and just to them. They are expected to support the APC government at both State, and national level. I advise them to canvas support with a view to having a smooth election come 2023.”
Commenting on the mediation process set in motion by the party, Mohammed ruled out possible agitators stressing that all facets of the party were properly taken care of.
“For now we are yet to witness any aggrieved person because this election was conducted few weeks back and so far all differences have been sorted. So for now we don’t have differences but you know in politics you know is not possible for everyone to be happy about what has been done or with everybody elected. So, if there is any am calling on any aggrieved or disgruntled member who is not happy to kindly take it likely, APC is a big party, and will find means to accommodate them,” Mohammed added.
Also speaking, A National observer APC ward election committee, Safiya Bala stated her satisfaction, adding that the officials should uphold the party supremacy at all times.
“The process is very successful and the right thing has been done and I’m happy it went on well. To those elected they must stick to their post and do the right thing for the party. We expect them to uphold the party supremacy,” Bala said.
She stressed that those unhappy with the emergence of officials should follow due process.
Bala added, “If there is any, I think there is the right place for them to approach.”
