by Jack Tasha
The Government of Gombe State has mourned the passing away of the title holder of Dawakin Kaltungo ( in charge of the Chief’s Horses) Abdulfatah Abdullahi who died recently.

The message of condolence was delivered to the Mai Kaltungo and members of his council by a high powered government delegation led by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, at the palace of the Mai Kaltungo in the local government headquarters.
Delivering the heartfelt sympathies of the Governor, Government and people of Gombe State, the Deputy Governor noted that the passing away of the prominent title holder is a great loss to the chiefdom and Gombe State.
Jatau, also noted that the passing away of loved one is painful but considering that every human being has a specific assignment and number of days on earth, it is pertinent that at expiration of ones time, one must succumb to death.

He further explained that, in view of the state of insecurity and strange developments where death is very common, it becomes a thing of joy when relatives lay hand on the corpse of their loved one to be able to accord him or her a befitting burial.
The Deputy Governor, made reference to King David in the Bible who was in sackcloth and ashes when his child was sick and, latter eat and dine at the death of the child, pointing out that, people can only help in case of sickness but in death, humans should accept the judgement of God as it is.
He prayed God Almighty for the repose to the soul of the deceased, and comfort to the bereaved.
Responding, the Mai Kaltungo appreciated the Governor, his Deputy, the Secretary to the state government, and all the Commissioners who condoled with them in their moment of sadness.
He said death is the only thing that people are never use to, since at every visit, it takes a different person, informing the delegation that they have had series of deaths these days but have accepted it in good faith as an act of God.
He prayed God to reward them abundantly.
