Gombe revalidates MoU with private firm on GOGIS phase II
In furtherance of the Gombe State Government’s commitment to effective and efficient land administration systems, Government has awarded contract for the second phase of Gombe Geographical Information Systems (GOGIS).
Speaking on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, shortly after signing of the Contract agreement between the State Government and SIRAJ Nigeria Limited, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi charged the firm and GOGIS management to ensure delivering the deal in time.
He commended the company’s performance in the delivery of the first phase of the project which earned them the phase two award, while urging them to give their best as according to him, Governor Inuwa Yahaya will not accept anything less.
The Secretary to the State Government who signed the two years contract on behalf of the State Government also assured them of Government support to ensure timely and quality delivery of the project.

In his remarks, Commissioner for Lands and Survey Alhaji Usman Jafun Biri said the award of the contract to SIRAJ Nigeria Limited followed the approval of the State Executive Council based on it performance in the execution of the first phase of the project.
Also speaking, Director General GOGIS Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan said having successfully executed the first phase, SIRAJ Nigeria Limited was recommended by the Ministry of Lands and Survey to undertake the second phase. Hence, the signing of the agreement.
Hassan assured of his management readiness to working closely with the firm, in ensuring timely delivery of the project.
On his part, Representative of SIRAJ Nigeria Limited Engr. Abe Ayodele appreciated the Gombe State Government for considering the company for the Job and assured of delivering the project based on schedule.
The project will cover among others; Digital infrastructure, Areal Mapping, Office furnitures, Sort wire Development and Staff training.
