Auto crash: Gombe gov consoles families of deceased
Following the auto crash where three persons were confirmed dead and 18 others hospitalised, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, on Monday, expressed shock, while consoling families of the bereaved and Kaltungo community as a whole.
Speaking during the condolence, the governor, who was represented by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, said the visit was a demonstration of empathy and genuine concern for the wellbeing of the people of Dogon- Ruwa community in Kaltungo local government area.
The Governor also made cash presentation worth over five hundred thousand for the treatment of the injured victims as well as support to the deceased families through the District Head.
He said, “Governor Yahaya is saddened by the incident, the ghastly motor accident that claimed three (3) lives with 18 others hospitalised.”
While noting the mortality of man’s existence on earth, he noted that no man has control over death, he advised, “the bereaved families and the Dogon – Ruwa community to remain prayerful to God against future occurrence. We pray Allah to grant the deceased internal rest in Al-Janna.”
On his part, District Head of Digon- Ruwa, Alhaji Bashar Isa Sarkin Rafi appreciated Governor for his show of concern.
He assured the governor’s representative that the Dogon-Ruwa community would show an unalloyed support to the current administration.
“We want to thank the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the show of love. I wish to assure him that our community will continue to support the policies and programmes of the All Progressives Congress APC led administration,” the District Head added.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) was accompanied on the visit by Special Advisers to Governor on Health and that of Political Matters, Directors General, APC Acting Chairman South, Musa Wali Awak, Ag. APC Chairman Kaltungo,Comrade Ayuba Hassan, Alhaji Babangida Hukuma, Special Assistants and top Government functionaries.
