Gov Yahaya lauds Gombe Youth Parliament for enthroning leadership qualities
Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commended the outgoing leadership of the State Youth Parliament for their unwavering commitment towards learning the rudiments of parliamentary functions and other leadership roles for the betterment of the society.

Yahaya stated this when the outgoing leadership of Gombe youth Parliament visited him at the Government House shortly after their valedictory session at the State House of Assembly Wednesday, to appreciate the Governor for his support during their two years in office.
The Youth Parliament equally presented the Governor with the Youth most Friendly Governor award.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Governor Yahaya assured the parliament of his administration’s commitment to champion the course of the youth.
He said, “Our target is to develop the Youth, our idea is to lay a good foundation so that you start somewhere after we might have gone, our concern is to show you the way. As a Government, we will continue to put you on track.”

The governor appreciated the youth Parliament for devoting themselves to learn the rudiment of Parliamentary functions which would invariably prepare them for leadership roles in the future.
Speaking earlier, Speaker of the Gombe State Youth Parliament Rt. Honourable Kalid Ahmed Kumo said they were at the Government House to appreciate the Governor for his support during their two years in office.

He added that the Parliament is aimed at training the younger generation on legislative and leadership functions.
He lauded the Governor’s commitment in youth Development calling on the teeming youth in the State to continue to support Government policies and programmes
The Parliament presented the Governor with an Award of the Youth Most friendly Governor and Award of Excellence to the Secretary to the State Government SSG Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
Commissioner for Youth, Alhaji Aminu Musa and Officials from the Ministry of Youth Development were present during the ceremony.
