Nigerian Super Eagles records shocking defeat in Teslim Balogun stadium

Central African Republic created a wild shock in Group C as they beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria 1-0, yesterday in Teslim Balogun stadium Lagos.
The only goal of the match came through Karl Namganda who scored at the injury time after holding on to the pressure from the Super Eagles attack.
This remarkable victory for Central African Republic end Nigeria unbeaten start to the qualification stage after winning their first two group matches.
With three matches gone, Nigeria still still remains on the top spot in the group with six points while Cape Verde follows up as second with four points.
Central African Republic has equal point with Cape Verbe but scored fewer goals than Cape Verde.
Liberia seats at the bottom of the group with just a point.
Both teams will meet again on Sunday for the second-leg. This time, it will be held in Douala, Cameroon.
They are playing the match away from home because Confederation of African football rule said no football field in Central African Republic is good enough for international matches.
The last time Nigeria lost a World Cup Qualifier at home was a 2-0 loss to Algeria 40 years ago, October 10, 1981 and both games were played in Lagos.
