Super Eagles Reclaims Victory in World Cup Qualifiers
By Samson Adeyemo
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have defeated the Central African Republic (CAR) in their second leg encounter to take full charge and total dominance in group C of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.

Despite the refusal of the Nigeria Supporters club and some Media Personnel to fully gain access into the Stade Japoma in Douala, Cameroon, where the match was played on Sunday, the National team still maintained a deserving 2-0 win to the shock of CAR.
An amazing performance from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen recorded both goals in the first half, which the Super Eagles defended to the blast of the final whistle.
CAR were put under pressure from the start of the game, with a couple of chances that were thrown away by Victor Osimhen but as time progressed into the first half, CAR started gaining grounds and began to pose threatening attack to the Nigerian defence but the trio of Awaziem, Balogun, and William Troost-Ekong contained their excesses.
The opening goal was recorded in the 29th minute as Leon Balogun fired a perfect shot into the net from a long pass by Awaziem.
The second goal of the game, came just before the first half break as Victor Osimhen gave a super strike into the net through a quality pass from Troost-Ekong. The Super Eagles will be playing against Liberia in Douala next month, in their next encounter.
