Breaking: Goje’s daughter resigns from gov Yahaya’s cabinet
Senator Danjuma Goje’s Daughter, Dr. Husaina Goje on Saturday, resigned her appointment as a Commissioner for Environment and Forest Resources Gombe State.
Investigation by our correspondent shows that she is not the only person affiliated to the embattled senator on the cabinet, it however, unclear if the commissioner for Local Government Jalo Waziri, a son in-law would follow suit.
Recall that the relationship between her father and her erstwhile boss Muhammadu Yahaya, turned sour especially with Friday’s happening where the senator representing Gombe central had difficulty coming into the state metropolis on his return from Abuja.

The former commissioner revealed in a press statement obtained by our correspondent that her resignation was hinged on personal decision.
She said, “Today, Saturday 6th of November I wish to inform the general public and media organisations that I Dr. Husaina Goje, has tendered my formal resignation, from my position as Commissioner for Environment and Forest Resources to his excellency the executive governor of Gombe State Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya effective today.
“I also wish to inform that my resignation was made based on my personal reasons, with this I wish to show my appreciation and the opportunity given to me by his excellency the executive governor to serve as a member of his executive council in this administration.”
Goje would be remembered for helping the current administration with the Gombe 3G project, that ensured the afforestation of the entire state.
The former commissioner, married to Dr. Ibrahim Boyi, prior to her appointment was a staff of Fiscal Responsibility Commission in Abuja. She has Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Nottingham University.
