NYSC Cultural Carnival: ‘Until we learn to embrace our differences, the big dream of taking Nigeria to greater heights cannot be attained’- Imoni
The Gombe State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni has said until individuals learnt to accept the differences of others the idea of achieving unity in the country may be a far cry.

Imoni also commended the effort of the Social Committee and Man ‘O’ war for working harmoniously to ensure beautiful cultural carnival.
She made this disclosure during the 2021 Batch C Stream I Cultural carnival , at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Amada Gombe State.

She maintained that the essence of the carnival was to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria.
She said,” Young Compatriots, the inclusion of the cultural carnival in the Orientation Course content is to add colour to camp activities by promoting national unity and showcasing our diverse cultures and traditions. Until we learn to embrace our differences, the big dream of taking Nigeria to greater heights cannot be attained.”

The ten platoons danced to different cultural Dance steps ,which include; Tangale ( one of the major tribes in Gombe State), Igbo, Yoruba, Sayawa, Fulani, Hausa, Tula and Tiv among others. Different delicacies showcasing the various cultures in Nigeria were cooked by the platoons.

The climax of the event was the Inter-platoon dance and cooking competition.
