Gombe Deputy Gov hails RCCG’s commitment to Nation’s peace, stability, sustenance
The Gombe State Deputy Governor, Manassah Jatau, has hailed the commitment of Redeemed Christian Church of God to peaceful co-existence in Nigeria
Jatau made this declaration when he played host to the Assistant General Overseer (AGO), of the church Johnson Odesola, who visited his office.
Odesola visited in company of other officials of the church where he intimated the deputy governor about his mission to the state.

Jatau noted with delight that except for the prayers and teachings of the faithfuls, Nigeria would have degenerated into anarchy and state of lawlessness.
He said, “The administration in Gombe has provided a platform of religious freedom and harmony, and assisting the christians in Gombe State with a CAN Centre and a Guest House.
“The Minister of communications and Digital Economy has equipped the centre with ICT gadgets for the youths to be trained and taken along in technological advancement.
“I wish to appreciate the role of the church in praying for the peace, stability and sustenance of the nation.”
The Deputy Governor urged the church to assist in tackling youth restiveness, pointing out that the youths have taken a dangerous part of laziness and forsaken the pauline doctrine of ” no work, no food”.
While commenting on the visit, Jatau commended the General Overseer Adeboye, for playing a vital role of bridge building, peace and unity.
“I wish to convey the goodwill message of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the people of Gombe State, i wish you a successful programme in the state capital,” Jatau added.

Speaking earlier, Leader of the delegation and Assistant General Overseer, in charge of Administration and Personnel, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Johnson, said they were in Gombe State for a crusade, organised by their church under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
He said, “every generation must never stop to pray, as the principle of God is a principle of life and it works in every generation through prayer.”
He stressed that prayer can never be overemphasized in peoples relationship with God and with one another.
He appreciated the warm reception given to them in spite of tight schedules.
