Imoni charges Prospective Corps members on national unity, integration
The State Coordinator National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni has charged the 2021 Batch C Stream II prospective Corps members to mingle well with their colleagues and establish lasting relationships in order to foster national unity and integration.

Imoni, made that known at the briefing of Prospective Corps members at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada,Gombe State.
She urged them to use the period of the Orientation Course to let go negative tendancies, apprehensions and stereotypes ,by confirming at first hand the many similarities among the good people of Nigeria.

Speaking on discipline, Imoni, said the watchword on camp is discipline as unruly behavior would not be tolerated.
“We are guided by rules and regulations on camp . Anyone caught flouting any of the laid down rules would be sanctioned in accordance to the NYSC Act and Bye-laws,” she said .
She also stressed on the need to adhere strictly to the Orientation timetable as time is allotted to every activity in the orientation course content.

On Security, the State Coordinator encouraged all to be vigilant and report suspicious activities and persons to the appropriate channel .
She added, “I urge you to identify with your roommates and platoon members to check for Intruders. You came from various backgrounds. It is pertinent to know one another and also relate well.”
Speaking on relocation, Imoni, said relocation in Gombe would be granted on only two grounds; Marital and health with documents to support their claims . She advised them to desist from lying and presenting fake medical report in order to be relocated.
She also gave Stern warning on granting interview to the press and use of the social media platforms to channel their grievances.
“On no account should any of you grant interview to the press without permission and for grievances, channel them through the proper channels of Communication on camp, instead of posting them on the various social media platforms. The NYSC does not take it lightly as sanctions apply,” she maintained.
Imoni, also spoke on use of kit items issued to Prospective Corps members, urging them not to deface the NYSC uniform; slim fitting, cutting to three quarter or use of rubber band at the helm of their khaki trousers.
She advised camp participants to adhere strictly to the Covid 19 safety measures of regular use of the Facemask, washing of hands under running water, use of alcohol based sanitizer and observance of social distancing among others.
She also commended the Covid 19 Vanguard for a job well done, adding that their inauguration would be done at the end of the Covid 19 Sensitization on Tuesday 30th November,2021.
Platoon officers, Platoon Commanders and Physical Trainers were introduced to them.
