Xavi set to replace Koeman as Barcelona’s Head Coach

One of Barcelona’s living legend and member of the tiki-taka generation, Xavi Hernandez is ready and has shown full interest to replace Ronald Koeman, who was recently relieved from his job at the first team coach.
Koeman got the sack just after a humiliating 1-0 el-classico defeat from Rayo Vallecano, following series of poor match forms so far in the season.

Xavi who had been touted to someday sit in Barcelona’s dugout as the head coach has an uphill task of building a formidable team that would challenge for at least a fourth place finish that will guarantee Champions League football next season. All indications has shown that Xavi is most qualified for the position, considering his experience as a player and a coach.
He has coaching experience with Al Sadd Sports Club in Qatar. As a player, he won eight la liga titles and four Champions League titles with Barca.
The 2010 World Cup winner will meet the club’s president La Porta and other top management officials this week to get an understanding of the situation, and to learn if he will be given the chance to join Barcelona as Ronald Koeman’s replacement, taking the job in full capacity to reclaim Barcelona’s dominance in the La Liga and seize the chance to remain in the champions league next season.
