Christmas: Ex-Rep member, Binta Bello felicitates with Christians
Former member representing Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency, Hon. Fatima Binta Bello on Saturday felicitated with the Christian faithful in Gombe State and all over the world as they celebrate Christmas.
In a statement, Binta urged urged people to use the Christmas period to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasises selflessness, piety, brotherly, kindness and love towards one another, adding that Nigeria can only get out of the woods when the citizenry resonate the teachings and doctrine of Christ.
She said. “This is the season of love and forgiveness. It is the time for all of us to pray fervently for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria. We have passed through series of challenges but the fact remains that we can only overcome those challenges if we stay united, extend hands of fellowship to one another and be law abiding.
“We must rededicate ourselves to the ennobling virtues of faith in God, love for one another, honesty and peaceful coexistence. It is time to make these virtues more evident and practical in our daily lives.”
“I therefore wish the good people of Tangale/Waja, Gombe State and Nigeria a merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance,” the statement added.
