Monarch urges electorates against falling prey to Politicians
Mai of Fika, Muhammadu Idrissa on Monday reminded the people about the forthcoming election in 2023, adding that they should not allow themselves to be used by unscrupulous politicians.

Idrissa who is also the Chairman council of chiefs Yobe State, made this disclosure in Gombe, in his address as the father of the day during the 2021 Kaltungo Cultural Festival held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium Kaltungo Local Government Area.
According to him, the people have the right to elect any leader deemed fit, noting that they should not be coerced in any form to make any wrong choice.

The monarch reaffirmed that electorates were bestowed with the preserve of ensuring that only qualified persons got their votes.

He said, “Election is coming, don’t let yourself to be used by selfish politicians. Make sure you elect leaders of your choice.”
While praying for an end of insurgency in North East, and Banditry in North West and Nigeria at large, the traditional urged all hands to be on deck towards putting a stop to the challenges.
“May Allah bring an end to insurgency, banditry, and the prosperity of the country at large,” Idrissa said.
Also speaking, Host, Mai Kaltungo Saleh Mohammed prayed for the peaceful co-existence of Nigeria.
Mohammed noted that the essence of the festival was to celebrate the cultural essence of the people, stressing that “To show case and promote the rich multiple cultures of the people of the chiefdom that comprises of many ethnic communities with interesting cultural background and common heritage.
“The carnival is organised yearly, not only to enhance social interaction but to intensify peace, unity and cooperation among subjects. Also, to promote social economic development in the chiefdom and state at large.”
On his part, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, who was represented by Commissioner for Education Dauda Zambuk lauded the organisers for the festival.
He emphasised that the level of civilisation witnessed by the Local Government is based on the access to Education.
