Campus Radio/TV: Gombe Varsity trains staff
Following the accreditation for community broadcast by National Broadcast Commission (NBC), Federal University of Kashere (FUK), has commenced training of staff.
FUK said it concluded the two months training of staff from various departments who were interested to work in the campus Television and Radio stations.
According to a press statement signed on Wednesday, by Ahmed Malami Chief Information and Protocol Officer FUK made available to journalists in Gombe.
Malami revealed that the two months training was conducted at the various media organisations include; Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Gombe Media Corporation (FM/TV) Vision and Amana Radio stations.
The press statement partly read, “The training was in the area of news, programmes, engineering, editing, transmission, translation and Disc Jockey (DJ).”
He added that the training which was successful had enabled the trainees gain the practical skills required to run the broadcast outfit of the University.
Malami said, “Although the training duration was just two months but the participants were able to learn because they have the zeal thereby making it successful.”
Some of the participants lauded the school management for increasing their scope to both radio and television broadcasting, while promising to give their best.
