Kelechi Iheanacho’s Super Strike Crumbled the Pharaoh’s of Egypt
The Super Eagles of Nigeria started their campaign into the African Cup of Nations with a first half lone goal win over the Pharaoh’s of Egypt at Roumde Adjia Stadium.
The only goal of the match that gave credence to the winner came through a super strike from Kelechi Iheanacho, after a swift head pass assist from Aribo. The Leicester city star did not waste any time as he controlled the pass and send the ball into the net, to the surprise of the defenders.

The Super Eagles gave an outstanding performance in what could be described as their best in recent times as the North Africans struggled to gain a point, with Liverpool star, Sallah tied to the feet of Super Eagle’s Zaidu Sanusi and Williams Ekong.
But goal from Kelechi Iheanacho, separated both sides, leading to a three point, clean sheet for Nigeria in Group D.
The expectation is that both teams will see themselves as the survivors of Group D but the bone of contention is who sits at the top of the group with two matches left to play.
