Gombe Gov’t lauds outgoing NSCDC commandant, task incoming on commitment
Gombe State Government has expressed its appreciation to the outgoing Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command Samson Wabulari, for his tremendous service to the Nation and Gombe State in particular.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi expressed the State Government’s position when he recieved the outgoing and the in coming Commandants of the NSCDC in his office on Monday.
Njodi, while commending Wabulari for a job well done also tasked the in coming Commandant of the Command to redouble effort by coming up with new security strategies that would help in strengthening security of the State.
He described Wabulari as a hard working officer who had contributed greatly to the peace and security of the State and therefore wished him well in retirement.
The SSG assured the newly posted Commandant of the NSCDC of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s cordial working relationship adding that, as a Government “our determination and commitment is always towards maintenance of peace and security.”
He called on officers and men of the command to be up and doing in the discharge of their civil responsibilities.
Earlier speaking, outgoing Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Samson Wabulari said he was at the Government House to officially introduce the newly posted Commandant following his retirement from active service.
He appreciated the Government and people of Gombe State as well as men of the Command for their cooperation and support and enjoined them to extend same to his predecessor.
In his comment, the newly posted Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDC), Gombe State Command Waziri Babagoni lauded the State Government for giving the Command all the necessary support and assured of his commitment to serve.
Waziri further said on arrival he noticed that, ” Gombe has the best command in terms of office accomodation and facilities.
” I have visited several commands in this Country and Gombe Command happens to be the best I have seen, we are most appreciative to the Gombe State Government,” he said.
The Permenent Secretary SS and Pol Mohammed Umar and other officials were in attendance.
