Goni takes over Gombe NSCDC as commandant
Commandant Waziri Baba Goni has assumed duty as State Commandant of Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Gombe State Command.

This is following the retirement of the immediate past commandant Samson Wabulari. The colourful ceremony took place at the Command headquarters Gombe today 24th January 2021.
Speaking during the event, Commandant Samson Wabulari (Rtd.), lauded the personnel of the command for their cooperation and dedication throughout his tenure as the State Commandant.

Wabulari noted that concerted efforts by personnel were major contributing factors towards achieving the operational mandates.
He therefore, urged the personnel to extend same cooperation to his successor.
In his remark, the incoming State Commandant, thanked the outgoing for his foresight and achievements. He reiterated that he would sustain the tempo, urging all officers and men to be proactive and continue to imbibe discipline in the discharge of their duties.
Highlights of the event was the signing of the handing over and taking over notes, as well as the inspection of the quarter guard.
