Gombe SSG inspects ongoing work at Kaltungo General Hospital, GSSS Lakanje
Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has expressed satisfaction with quality and level of remodeling work and renovation at General Hospital Kaltungo and Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Kaltungo respectively.
Njodi who led Government functionaries to Kaltungo and Shongom Local Government Areas on an inspection to General Hospital and Government Science Secondary School all in Kaltungo appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for keeping to his promise to the people of Kaltungo Chiefdom.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the inspection of the two construction sites, Njodi appealed to the people to protect and maintain the structures and equipment for the benefit of present and future generations.
The Secretary to the State Government further enjoined people of the area to remain resolute in their support to the Inuwa Yahaya led administration.
He also announced that the construction work on the Mega Secondary School in Government Science Secondary School Kaltungo and drilling of a Solar Borehole in the School would soon commence, urging the people to cooperate with the contractors for smooth execution of the projects.
In his remark, Mai Kaltungo Engr. Saleh Mohammed who was visibily delighted with the level of work at the two project sites, lauded Governor Yahaya for fulfilling his promise to the Maidom.
Mohammed also assured of continued loyalty and support to the Government, calling on the Government to look into the possibility of constructing roads in Kaltungo and Shongom areas.
In their respective comments, Commissioner for Higher Education Meshach Audu Lauco and Chairman Shongom Local Government Yohana Nahari appealed to the people of the Chiefdom to reciprocate the goodwill of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led administration by according it all necessary support needed to complete the infrastructural development work being executed in the area.
Conducting the SSG and his team, the sites Engineer of Waseall Nigeria Limited, Wasiu Olabameji took them to the remodeling of the Kaltungo General Hospital, Accident and Emergency Unit, Laboratories, Tuberculosis Centre and the Junior Staff quarters.
The Medical Director of Kaltungo General Hospital Dr. Silong London and Principal of GSS Kaltungo Aliyu Garba appreciated the Government of Gombe State for the turn around of the two facilities which were in a deplorable stage, while assuring that the facilities would be properly maintained
The inspection had in attendance, Commissioners, Chairmen of Boards and Commission, Directors Generals and Special Assistants.
