Gov Yahaya tasks four Gombe SAs on transparency, accountability
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya on Sunday swore in four newly appointed Special Advisers.
The newly appointed Gombe officials include; Shehu Adamu Sokoto, (Special Services), Barr. Sani Ahmed Haruna (Human Capital Development), Prof. Namala Amuga Keftin (Project Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation) and Ibrahim Musa Bakas (Special Duties).
The appointees were encouraged to bring in their wealth of experiences in the public and private sectors for the benefits and development of Gombe state.
While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Yahaya charged them to work assiduously and harmoniously with other public officers, civil servants and all other stakeholders in ensuring diligent implementation of all government policies and programmes in order to bring dividend of democracy to our people especially at the grassroot level.
He said, “Your appointments are a manifestation of our commitment to offer the good people of Gombe State the best and ensuring good governance by making sure that suitably-qualified persons, who will remain accountable, transparent and responsible to the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate, are appointed into public office.”
Yahaya urged the new appointees, and indeed all public office holders and Civil Servants to ensure prudent management of resources entrusted to them by adhering strictly to all relevant financial regulations in the state.
“This government is committed to fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability as a necessary tonic to enable us execute the developmental projects that our people need in order to uplift their living standards,” he added.
