Gombe SSG tasks political office holders on commitment, loyalty
The Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG) Prof. Ibrahim Njodi has tasked political office holders in the state to show more commitment towards government activities.
Addressing a meeting of political office holders on Tuesday, the SSG urged they to give more support to the administration.

The meeting consisted of Commissioners, Special Advisers, Chairmen of Boards and Commissions, Director-Generals, Local Government Chairmen and Executive Secretaries at the banquet hall.
According to Njodi, there was need to be worried over the lukewarm attitude of some of them to government functions, adding that such development would not augur well for the image of the administration.

He said, “loyalty to the APC, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and Government is not negotiable on the part of appointees of government as everyone is expected to demonstrate hundred percent loyalty.”
While calling for unity among all the appointees of government for the purposes of delivering on the mandate of APC led administration in the state, he also enjoined them to always apply political solutions to political issues whenever the need arise.
The SSG further called on Ministries Departments and Agencies to always consult with the office of the secretary to the State Government when organising programmes or event for effective coordination , arrangement and execution.
Njodi used the occasion to warn against divisive tendencies that could affect the smooth running of government, “there is need for unity of purpose to enable the government and the party easily passover election challenges in near future,” Gombe SSG added.
In their comment, the representatives of the various strata of the political offices and local government chairmen assured of their renewed commitment and loyalty to the Governor and the APC led administration.
They commended the SSG for summoning the meeting which they said accorded them opportunity to seek clarifications on matters of governance.
However, the meeting was unanimous in giving Governor Muhammadu Yahaya all the necessary support required of them to ensure the administration delivers on its mandate to the people of Gombe.
