Gombe NDE captures 50 persons in EFCC
No fewer than 50 beneficiaries have commenced a five-day training in Enterprises and Finance Counselling Clinic (EFCC), organised by National Directorate of Employment (NDE), in Gombe State.
Speaking during the launch in the state, Director General of NDE Abubakar Fikpo clarified that EFCC is one of the many programmes of the Directorate geared towards empowering Nigerian youths.
He revealed that the beneficiaries would be trained to become successful in their various areas of interests in business.

Represented by State Coordinator, Hassan Mustapha, Fikpo urged the participants to show commitment in their attendance, stressing that they were carefully selected to cut across various parts of the state.
Fikpo said, “As opposed to the anti graft agency, this is NDE’s EFCC which means Enterprises and Finance Counselling Clinic. The beneficiaries will be counselled, trained and be told what to do about business enterprises generally. You may be in business but you will need to be told what to do to improve, some other may not even know what business is all about.
“Many have the idea without knowing what to do to do business, EFCC will help them actualise their idea, NDE targets 50 persons in this pursuit of making them successful business men and women.”
Commenting on the essence of EFCC, the Director General revealed that aside presenting certificates to beneficiaries, NDE would serve as a link between serious minded participants and financial institutions.
“Some will be assisted into writing feasibility studies report which is referred to as business plan which can be used to access loans in any of the financial institutions. You have take to this training seriously to achieve results we will exchange ideas,” Fikpo added.

Also Speaking, Director of Small Scale Enterprises Apakasa Sunday, who was represented by Augustina Chilaka, called on the participants to show commitment, adding that it would rub off on their performance in the future.
Sunday said, “Pay attention, utilise this opportunity now that you have it. You are not only here to access loans, you can use it to advance your businesses.”
