Easter: Gombe SSG salutes Christians
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has called on Christians in the State to use the Easter festivities for sober reflection, sacrifice and supplication to the Almighty God for the sake of the Nation.
Njodi who stated this in a Easter message issued by his Information Officer Mr. Joshua Danmalam, tasked Christians to draw inferences from the lessons of Easter which hinges on love and sacrifice as exemplified by the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world.
Njodi described the coinciding of the Christian Lenten season and the Holy month of Ramadan as divine arrangement for both Christians and Muslims in Nigeria to collectively channel their prayers to the All knowing God for him intervene in the nation’s current social economic and political challenges.
The SSG express optimism that Nigeria will come out of the woods if both the leaders and the led come together to compliment each other in the task of nation building.
While eulogising the incredible performance of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the last three years the Secretary to State Government called on the citizens of the State to keep faith with the APC led administration in the State for more dividends of democracy.
