ECWA honours Gombe Deputy Gov, others for contributions to humanity
The Gombe State Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, has bagged “Advocate of Justice” award along side other highly placed ECWA members who were awarded in different capacities for their immense contributions to ECWA, the church, and entire humanity.
The awards were presented to the beneficiaries during the ECWA Men’s Fellowship International Triennial Conference, in Jos DCC Women Fellowship Camp Ground, Azinya Kerker, Jos East Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The Conference tagged ” Jos 2022″ had the theme as ” look He is Coming With The Clouds”( Rev.2:7) being the ECWA theme of 2022.
Speaking shortly after being presented with the award, the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Manassah Daniel Jatau, appreciated the honour and trust bestowed on them and for finding them worthy of the award.
The Deputy Governor said, he considered the award as a clarion call for him to contribute more to the body of Christ and humanity.

He described the 2022 ECWA theme” behold he is coming with the clouds” as a prophetic declaration in view of unfolding events signalling the signs of the end of time.
He admonished that it was high time the Church began to seek the face of God, and abandon worldliness and be the light that could bring revival and usher the world to God in preparation for the coming of Jesus.
He appreciated the organisers for providing an avenue for men from acros the world under the aegis of ECWA Men’s Fellowship to come and reposition themselves and their families for the beginning of this great revival towards presenting families devoid of blemish and wrinkle.
Jatau reiterated the call to sustain prayers for Nigeria and the nations of the world towards entrenchment of godliness, justice and fairness for a better and godly society.
He conveyed the goodwill message of Governor and people of Gombe State to the members of the Men’s fellowship praying for a hitch-free and successful conference.
Shortly before the presentation of the awards, the ECWA International President Rev. Dr. Stephen Panya Baba said the awardees were carefully selected based on their records of contributions to ECWA family, the Church and humanity.
Earlier, in his address presented by the Vice President, Rev Stephen S.Ajishe the ECWA President said, the Church must key into the end time revival for the salvation of souls.
He called for sustained prayers for reawakening of members through spiritual methods, and repositioning of ECWA Spiritually and reenergizing of members to worship and serve God in spirit and truth.
The ECWA President, said prayer and fasting for revival was scheduled for all Local Churches, Local Churches Councils, District Churches Councils, and the General Church Council,l every first Tuesday of the month, as well as the newly established Bornfire, Catch fire, and Spread the Fire Revival Campaigns all in an effort to bring revival in ECWA and the Church of God.
He charged the men as heads of family units to live as models worthy of emulation by their wives and children, and to imbibe lessons of the conference towards better families and better society.
The Director, ECWA Christian Education Department, Rev. Ishaku Yaro, appreciated the men’s fellowship for initiating Programmes and activities that would improve men in ECWA and beyond, including the recognition of contributions of some people by giving award of service.
While presenting the sermon, the Acting Assistant General Secretary of ECWA, Rev. Samuel Atu, spoke on the theme ” The identity of the Antichrist’ taken from Revelation Chapter thirteen verses one to ten.
He said with the happening of things, it was clear that the end of time has come, warning the believers to watch out for the Antichrist in accordance with the scriptures as revealed to John by God in the book of Revelation.
The preacher explained that the scriptures identified the Beast as the Antichrist, pointing out that though the Beast represents human but shall have characteristics of a Beast and shall seek to persecute the Church.
He called on the Church to be resilient in suffering and remain firm unto their faith no matter the persecution that may be inflicted on them by the Antichrist.
In his address of welcome, the Leader, ECWA Men’s Fellowship, International, Elder Daniel A. Gaggah, appreciated the men for supporting their activities in their various fellowships and for attending the international conference.
He called on them to support the EWCA programmes and policies by keying into them especially towards actualizing the establishment of a textile company which would soon be put in place.
The leader also challenged the men to rise to the responsibility of leadership especially in their homes to curb the increasing decay of morals and help their children to use the growing technology positively for their spiritual growth and for the good of the society.
He further urged men to be proactive in security issues, and assist where possible in helping the government arrest the ugly menace.
The Gombe contingent include; Justice Idi Apollos and the Permanent Secretary Deputy Governor’s Office, Mr. Bala Mohammed Kaltungo among others, while the programme featured song and special numbers from fellowship groups.
